Commercial Illustration is more than just "Drawing for Nickels".

It is a collaboration between a Creator and a Brand Caretaker. When done successfully it yields pleasing visuals that satisfy the wants, needs and dreams of a commercial entity (for nickels.)

Vancouver Canucks
Illustration & Mural
The spring of 2020 was unpredictable for everyone. So unpredictable that even the NHL stopped.

While Rogers Arena sat empty, wood hoarding was installed to protect the glass exterior of the Cancuks Team Store.

With direction from The Canucks' brand team and Agency Partner, I provided Illustration and several days of painting beside helpful friends.

Nature's Path
Art Direction & Illustration
When you add fruit to a yogurt and granola, there's no telling what kind of hijinks can ensue. In the case of Nature's Path Organics, they become sentient and turn a work-a-day bowl of "yogurt and granola" into "An Epic Parfait".

With Creative Direction from Brand Directors and Agency Partners, I was contracted to supply Art Direction, Character Design and Illustration of 4 animated spots fit for Digital and Broadcast.

Collaborators: PostPro Media, 123 West.
Papersmiths
Illustration
When UK based stationery chain, Papersmiths tasked me to create a window illustration suitable for Valentines and Mothers Day, we agreed the best way to speak to the universality of love was to avoid tropes and focus on  "You and I".

With Direction from Papersmiths' brand leads and Agency Partners, I provided a versatile illustration applicable for multiple sales periods, several shop windows and point of sale touch-points.

Collaborators: Studio B
Olive Technologies
Illustration
Olive is a software company based  in Vancouver, BC. Their software helps organizations seeking internal sofware find the best fit.

Greek Mythology plays a role in their brand identity. I was tasked with creating a series of versatile Illustrations that could speak to services as well as Grecian Mythological undertones.
Rise for Architecture
Art Direction & Illustration
Architecture plays a major role in our lives. Yet those outside the discourse are often excluded from the conversations that influence how their environments are designed.

In hopes of  empowering citizens to influence their surroundings, The Architecture Policy of Canada Initiative commissioned this conversation starter.

Created in collaboration with The APCI and Kahani Poctures, I was responsible for Art Direction, Storyboarding and Character Design.
